Rainbow Batiks

Buddha meditates in the position of the Dhyana Mudra. His legs are in the lotus position, palms facing upwards.

It was under the Bodhi tree that Buddha meditated peacefully until he found enlightenment.

This absolutely stunning rainbow coloured batik shows Buddha meditating on top of a lotus flower cushion. He holds a pot in one hand and a flower in the other.

Ganesha, the god of knowledge and remover of obstacles, is shown here dancing a celestial dance of love with the Supreme God.

Ganesha, the clearer of obstacles, often holds ankusas, a type of gourd, to clear paths for his followers.

Ganesha's favourite food is Modakam - a sweet made from sesame. It represents the bounty of the world.

Here we see Buddha sitting in the lotus position on a lotus flower shaped cushion, preaching the first sermon to the five monks who had previously renounced him.
