E-Liquid or Juice is an essential part of Vaporizing, it is what creates the vapour and is the vessel that carries the flavour and nicotine. It Comes in many different flavours and strengths and is generally made up of Four different ingredients; Vegetable Glycerine (VG), Propylene Glycol (PG), Flavourings and Nicotine. Generally different juices come in different quantities of each, and this affects the quality of the vapour. Each company uses different ratios of each ingredient, and offer different flavours and strengths of nicotine to distinguish themselves as brand and to encourage you to try their Juice. Although, this is also one of the benefits of Vaporizing as the user can choose their preferred mix of ingredients, and strength of nicotine.
What are the Ingredients in E-Liquid?
Vegetable Glycerine is the ingredient that creates the thickness of the cloud, so liquids with a high VG content generally create large plumes of vapour. But, as the liquid is thick it can take more power to vaporize VG, therefore liquids containing large quantities are best suited for Mod batteries and Sub Ohm tanks. VG can cause dehydration so it is always a good idea to drink plenty of water when using a liquid with a high content.
Propylene Glycol is miscible diol that forms a solution with the VG, and generally carries the flavour and adds the "throat hit" to the vapour. Generally, liquids with high PG contents carry the flavour better.
The flavourings in E-liquids are generally based on food flavourings and are made of natural as well as artificial compounds. You can get any flavour you could imagine from classic tobacco flavours, to blended fruit flavours like grape, blueberry or mango as well as crazy flavours such as bacon or even cheesy nacho's!!! The flavours used must be tested to be safe to ingest orally, but that doesn't mean they are always safe to inhale. Certain compounds such as Diacetyl, which is used as a buttery flavour, have been found to cause serious irritation on inhalation and have caused conditions such as "popcorn Lung". Most vapours are looking to move away from the days of inhaling nasty chemicals from cigarettes, so look for manufacturers that list their ingredients and look for high quality brands that use pharmacological grade ingredients that are up to UK standards.
The last ingredient in E-Liquid is nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive substance, and is the compound that stops smokers giving up their dangerous habits. That's why people choose to vaporize, as it is generally a safe alternative to smoking and they can still get their nicotine fix and even wean themselves of with different strength juices. Most manufacturers make their juices in 24mg, 18mg, 12mg, 6mg, 3mg and 0mg of nicotine per Millilitre of juice, meaning the user can choose how much nicotine they want to ingest. The higher the power of the Vaporizer, the more liquid and liquid it will deliver, so people using Sub Ohm Tanks and powerful batteries generally go for lower strength nicotine. Nicotine is extremely poisonous and a single 10ml bottle of 24mg strength liquid can kill an adult, so it is extremely important to store your liquids properly and out of sight and reach of children.
Although E-Liquids should be stored out of reach of children and pets all of the E-Liquids that we sell are supplied with a child proof lid to help prevent unwanted accidents.
